About

I kept starting over.

I have moved more than once, and every time I did, I had to rebuild my customer base from nothing. Whiskly is the thing I wanted the last time it happened.

Why I built this

I'm Alexandria, most people call me Alex. I run Daisy Belle Bakery. Custom cakes, mostly for occasions, out of my own kitchen.

Every time I moved, the baking came with me and the customers did not. New town, new people, and no way for any of them to know I existed. So I would start again. Post, hope, wait. Build it back one order at a time.

The part I do not say out loud very often is that I am not good at the posting. I have the photos. I have cakes I am proud of sitting in my camera roll right now. Getting them online, consistently, week after week, while also baking and quoting and running everything else, is the part that falls off. It falls off for almost every baker I know.

That is the gap. Being good at the cake and being good at being found are two completely different jobs, and only one of them is why any of us started.

Whiskly is a place where customers looking for a custom cake can find bakers near them, see real prices, and book without the back and forth. Bakers get a profile that works whether or not they posted this week.

I am building it by myself, and I am building it as one of the bakers who needs it.

Why Whiskly

Found without posting

Your profile does the work when your feed goes quiet. Customers searching for a cake near them find you whether or not this week got away from you.

Real prices, in writing

Customers describe what they want. Bakers send an actual quote. No guessing, no "DM for pricing," no three days of messages to learn it is out of budget.

Deposits and balances handled

Payment runs through the platform on a schedule both sides agreed to. Bakers stop chasing. Customers know exactly when the card gets charged.
